Ages and ages ago (I mean more than a decade) my dad bought me a domain name for the someday that I might want to use it. And here it is!
laurasmiles.com is live 🙂 Why is it called Laura smiles you ask… because I smile a lot. It’s that simple. And my name is Laura, but you probably gathered that.
I am starting it now because I am about to embark on the biggest, craziest, most exciting journey of my life so far. I am leaving everything behind in Europe to go across the pond and start my au pair year this summer. Of course Miss Rona had some other plans and it might be delayed but nevertheless sooner or later I will be headed to the States, more specifically North Carolina.
I want a way to document my time there so that my family and friends can read along with my adventures (and for anyone else). For myself when I am old and frail and want to reminisce. I want to use this blog as a travel diary, as an everyday journal, and even maybe to rid myself of some cluttered thoughts in my head every now and again.
I am also completely new to blogging and WordPress and everything so its going to be a new project and challenge for me as well which I am excited about. I always love having something to do and I figured this would be a good activity for me to do.
I can’t wait to properly start my Aupair Blog, which will be soon because I am starting to get everything ready to go as soon as the borders open!
